After his mesmerizing performance as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. This will be the first film in which we will see the versatile actor share screen space with the very talented Alia Bhatt.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is inspired by the rappers from the slums of Dharavi in Mumbai. Ranveer essays the role of a street rapper in the film.
Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar unveiled the first look of the film on social media in which both Alia and Ranveer are seen in simple, de-glam yet pensive looks. In the picture, Alia Bhatt is clad in a Hijab while Ranveer is looking just an ordinary guy from a small town.
Alia and Ranveer took to their respective social media accounts to share the first look and release date of the film. The film will hit theatres on February 14, 2019.

The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles.The film is co-produced by Zoya’s banner Tiger Baby Productions and Farhan Akhtar and Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.
